Excalibur Prefab Estate Catford

Hi everyone, I have not been alone in this campaign, there are many other residents all doing different things, we all come together about once a month to set out our objectives for the coming month. We have spent the last three and a half years totally dedicated to saving the Excalibur prefab estate from being demolished.

We named our group -the worried tenant’s group- I would like to thank all the members of the worried tenants group for their time and expense, especially those who wish to remain nameless for fear of reprisal from Lewisham council.

A special thank you to Paul Newman, and Violet Edwards for all their input, both have spent a great deal of time on this campaign, and to Andy & Trish Dixon for all their hard work at the archives and liaising with different political parties, and to my loving wife Lorraine, and last but not least my daughter Sarah.

I have appeared in a documentary called disappearing London, Hosted by Madness front man Suggs.

I have also appeared in another documentary, Legacy of War, Hosted by Alistair Stewart from ITV. Both programs also featured on American networks.

And I recently appeared on London tonight.

Our local newspapers, The mercury, news shopper and south London press, have been very supportive, we have had front page four times, and inside pages nine,  All concerning the Excalibur prefab estate, so you can see we have been very busy.

And contrary to the belief of some residents, it is unpaid, Time consuming work, our only reward is saving the Historic Excalibur prefab estate from imminent demolition, We intend to carry on the fight.

We decided to make our own web page (aint easy is it) to see if this is another way of making ourselves heard, time will tell, I have got lots of links, just not sure how to set them up at the moment, but I will keep trying.

Meantime I will have to settle for one of my pictures with my mate Suggs (sad)
